A wonderfully simple little-kid outing: visit the resident donkeys, then use the playground, picnic tables, or nearby path.

Know before you go

Meet-and-pet walks are usually Sundays, 10–11 a.m. You can see the donkeys at the pasture gate anytime, but never bring food for them.

The farm is about one mile from the main parking lot. Strollers work well; parking can fill quickly on weekends, and the farm closes Mondays.

McClellan Ranch Preserve

An easy preserve walk with a historic ranch feel, a nature center, and goats and alpacas often visible by the neighboring 4-H area.

Know before you go

The alpacas are part of the adjacent 4-H farm, not a petting zoo, so visibility varies. The paved trail toward Blackberry Farm is stroller-friendly.
